About The Position

Caton Construction Group, one of the Caton Companies, corporate offices in Troy, VA, and Cary, NC, is growing! Currently seeking Heavy Equipment Operators for our bridge/roadway project in Pulaski County, Virginia (Radford).

STARTING PAY is competitive and based on skills and experience.

The heavy equipment operator operates a variety of contractor equipment and properly maintains the equipment on a daily basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years’ experience involving the use of medium and heavy equipment.
• Driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

• Valid CDL License.

Responsibilities

• Works with and assists in moving and grading dirt, digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work with a bulldozer, backhoe, road grader or front-end loader.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
