About The Position
This position is responsible for day to day Heavy Equipment Operation activities at a steelmetal recovery plant. Running equipment such as loaders, excavators, skidsteer, heavy duty trucks, cranes. Duties include but not limited to: A. Performs routine mobile equipment pre start and post inspections and records activity on inspection sheets. B. Follows all plant safety guidelines for the safe operations of heavy mobile equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 - 3 year’s experience as a equipment operator.
- Ability to do manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
- Good communications skills, and the ability to read operating instructions.
- Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
