About The Position
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible handling of material and operation of equipment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of heavy equipment experience such as front end loader, excavator, dozer, trackhoe. Not a forklift position.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation required.
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience operating heavy equipment including: front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator, and heavy forklift.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts required.
Responsibilities
- Move bulk material and cargo, and/or load trucks, with heavy equipment
- Complete daily paperwork, including daily equipment checklist
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, complete daily pre-trip inspection.
- Perform general labor tasks to assist with material processing and property maintenance, pile maintenance (turning), or other projects as needed.
- Follow all safety and operational policies, regulations, and programs.
- Successfully complete all required training programs
- Monitor product for quality and report any issues or concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed.
