About The Position

H2O Innovation is seeking a new team member for the position of Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Long Beach, MS project. Our next colleague will hold a full time & permanent position. Your primary duty will involve operating heavy equipment to clean ditches and ensure proper drainage flow.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background and motor vehicle record checks.
• Knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment.
• Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions.
• Must be willing to learn all assigned tasks and have good work ethics.
• Capable of performing physical tasks in diverse weather conditions.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including H2O's department rules, policies and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors.
• Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Using heavy equipment to clean/dig ditches to grade.
• Repairing/installing storm drains.
• Repairing water/sewer issues.
• Prepare and submit written reports as required.
