About The Position
The Equipment Operator at Texas Materials, a CRH company, plays a crucial role in the construction and groundwork operations by operating a variety of heavy equipment. This position encompasses various roles including, but not limited to, Equipment Operator (Grade Crew), Heavy Equipment Operator, Roller Operator, Motor Grader Operator, Rubber Tire Loader Operator, Paddle Wheel Scraper Operator, Backhoe Operator, Excavator Operator, Bobcat Operator, and Bulldozer/Push Dozer Operator. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. In this position, the Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment of various sizes and weights, ensuring compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations for a safe working environment. The operator will report any issues to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager and will follow the direction of the Foreman regarding daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite. Additionally, the operator will perform minor servicing and maintenance of the equipment, conduct daily pre-and-post inspections, and assist in training less-experienced employees on proper equipment operations and maintenance. Regular and predictable attendance is required, and the operator may be assigned other duties as needed. The role requires a commitment to safety and teamwork, as well as the ability to work in various weather conditions and potentially at heights. The Equipment Operator will contribute to the overall success of Texas Materials by supporting the infrastructure development of Texas through reliable and efficient equipment operation.
