The position involves operating a variety of heavy equipment or large vehicles with specialized functions, which may include a motor grader, bulldozer, bucket truck, or front-end loader. Responsibilities include hauling, transporting, loading, and unloading various equipment and materials, performing tasks associated with street maintenance, repair, and construction, and conducting general and preventive maintenance tasks necessary to keep vehicles, equipment, and tools in operable condition. The role also includes operating snowplows and assisting in directing traffic in work zones.
