Job Description: Heavy equipment operators will need to have experience operating equipment such as excavators, telehandlers, dozers, loaders, motor graders, and backhoes, in a safe and efficient manner. Applicants must be available to work occasional night shifts and exhibit versatility in performing various job site tasks beyond equipment operation. Responsibilities may include assisting with site preparation, materials handling, clean-up duties, maintenance of equipment, and supporting crew members to ensure efficient project progression and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Operators perform equipment inspections and may be required to perform daily maintenance of equipment (such as greasing/lubing).
  • Previous Operator of construction equipment, or other related industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently in a team and safety focused environment.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
  • Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
  • Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
  • Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical inclination is an asset.
