About The Position

CTI, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our operations in Kingman, AZ. We’re seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with proven experience in handling complex machinery like Reach Stackers, cranes, or other heavy-duty equipment. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will operate a Reach Stacker Hyster RS46-33XD/62 equipped with a rotator attachment to safely and efficiently move, rotate, and empty containers. Experience with standard forklifts, skid steers, or small loaders alone will not meet the requirements for this role. Your primary responsibility will be to load, unload, and transfer copper concentrate and other various commodities from containers at our Kingman rail site while adhering to strict safety and railroad standards. Additionally, you may perform various tasks related to the transfer or shipment of products. Hourly Pay + OT + Bonus = APPLY NOW..$$ Hourly Pay: $33 -$40/hour (DOE) $500 Quarterly Safety Bonus Schedule: Monday - Friday: Day Shift; unless otherwise specified by hiring manager. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have prior experience operating comparable large-scale equipment, such as container handlers, reach stackers, top picks, or similar heavy-duty lifting equipment (e.g., Hyster RS46-33XD/62, CAT 950 Wheel Loader, or D9 Dozer or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with railroad operations and railcar brake systems
  • No more than two moving violations within the past three years
  • No major violations within the last five years
  • Successful completion of a controlled substance test
  • Successful respirator physical and fit test

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Reach Stacker and/or Telehandler Forklift experience
  • CDL Class A
  • Mechanical troubleshooting abilities

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing safe and efficient rail operations while unloading
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to respond to an incident or accident
  • Climb up and down the reach stacker throughout the day
  • Inspect, service, and troubleshoot faulty mechanical equipment
  • Work outside during extreme temperatures and inclement weather
  • Communicate with Dispatch, Drivers, customers, and Terminal manager
  • Handle stressful situations, make quick decisions, and react efficiently & safely
  • Report when railcars are empty and require switching out
  • Mechanical abilities to troubleshoot and isolate malfunction - Water system to supply eyewash and shower stations, generator, compressor
  • Operation of basic hand tools
  • Other duties as assigned
