About The Position

This position is responsible for day-to-day Heavy Equipment Operation (including grader, dozer, drop ball crane, material handler, pot carrier, and/or loader) activities at a steel mill environment. Duties include but not limited to: A. Performs routine mobile equipment prestart and post inspections and records activity on inspection sheets. B. Follows all plant safety guidelines for the safe operations of heavy mobile equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 - 3 year’s experience as a equipment operator.
• Ability to do manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
• Good communications skills, and the ability to read operating instructions.
• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
