About The Position

The Front End Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a front-end loader to support industrial and facility service operations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work in physically demanding and industrial environments, and the flexibility to assist with general labor tasks as needed. In addition to operating equipment, this position supports plant clean-up, material handling, and site operations.

Requirements

  • Must pass all pre-employment requirements, including employment verification, background check, drug test, medical evaluation, and fit test
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull more than 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform work requiring reaching, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable working at heights greater than 4 feet and in confined spaces
  • Able to work in high-temperature environments (90°F and above)
  • Must be able to wear and work in full required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, respirator, gloves, coveralls, and safety harness
  • Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including verification, background check, drug test, medical evaluation, and fit test

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating a front-end loader.
  • Knowledge of confined space entry and fire watch procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions, complete required logs and reports, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a front-end loader to load, move, and transport materials, debris, and waste within the facility
  • Operate additional mobile equipment as assigned (such as skid steers and forklifts), when trained and authorized
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns
  • Conduct basic cleaning and routine maintenance of assigned equipment
  • Assist with transporting materials and debris using mobile equipment and wheelbarrows
  • Shovel ash build-up from under and around conveyor systems and hoppers
  • Perform general plant and work-area clean-up, including removal of trash and debris from maintenance activities
  • Clean inside hoppers and boilers (confined space entry required)
  • Serve as a Confined Space Attendant when assigned
  • Perform fire watch duties during hot work operations
  • Sweep, shovel, and power wash floors and work areas
  • Open and secure equipment access doors for inspections and cleaning
  • Assist with painting, surface preparation, and dusting of machinery and workspaces
  • Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and work practices at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Lead
