About The Position

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company - is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to drive/operate and control large equipment and vehicles including bulldozers, backhoes, front end loaders, scraper/tractor pans, track hoes, motor graders, mixers, and water trucks.

Requirements

Skilled heavy equipment operators with verifiable experience running either some or all of the following equipment: Grader, Dozer, Scraper, Track hoe, Mixer, and Front-end Loader
Hand and foot coordination, good communication skills, both oral and written, ability to work as a team, strong critical thinking ability, high attention to detail, ability to make decisions that prevent accidents and damage to property.
Physical ability to work in a strenuous work environment and strength to operate heavy equipment and decision making abilities.
Must pass the background check, drug screen/physical
Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
Must be able to work overtime when required
Must be able to perform physical tasks, such as bending, standing, crouching, shoveling, etc.
Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures
