About The Position

This is a remote/ rotational position, working in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Job Purpose: The Roads and Pads Operator (levels 1-4) will operate a wide range of heavy industrial equipment including, but not limited to graders, loaders, snowblowers, maxi hauls, dozers, excavators, and tankers in support of the Greater Prudhoe Bay roads and pads system. Operators will be required to safely perform pad lifts, roll and level road systems and pads, remove snow from pads, roads and pipeline access roads. Load and unload materials and supplies on the job site daily. This position will require a Class A CDL. Requirements

  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Current DOT medical card.
  • Current Tanker endorsement.
  • Two (2) years minimum experience, 1500 hours documented hours or equivalent.
  • Ability to be covered by Worley’s auto insurance provider.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with remote North Slope operations or arctic experience.
  • Hazardous Materials endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Complete DOT pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks/trailers/heavy equipment prior to use, which includes checking the oil, fuel, general and visual inspection of the entire chassis (depending on type of each equipment being operated) windshield, mirrors, blade, tracks, wheel rims, thumping each tire and lug nuts.
  • Complete a job specific task hazard assessment (Pre-Task Safety Plan) prior to starting any job.
  • Notify lead/dispatch of any recognized faulty equipment and red tag for repair.
  • Adhere to all North slope client and Worley’s health, safety and environment policies and procedures at all times.
  • Safely secure all loads in accordance with DOT and company policies and best practices.
  • Safely drive equipment to dispatched locations.
  • Maintain equipment in good/clean working order.
  • Maintain communications with dispatch and clients.
  • Attend all toolbox and safety meetings.
  • Safely climb ladders of various heights.
