The purpose of this job is to perform preventive maintenance, inspection and repairs to heavy equipment with a variety of gasoline and diesel engines. Responsible for preparing work orders and the requisition of parts and equipment for repair.
Diagnoses and repairs trucks and equipment
Performs all necessary repairs to maintain the fleet
Orders the correct parts to repair units
Documents equipment or truck repairs and repaired times electronically
Provides preventative maintenance services of all heavy equipment
Looks up and requests parts as needed
Keeps and maintains a clean work environment
Performs related work as required
High school diploma (or GED equivalent) with training in automotive/heavy equipment/light equipment, gasoline or diesel engine repairs
At least two (2) years of experience performing automotive/heavy equipment/small engine mechanical repair and maintenance; and/or state certifications
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
