About The Position

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District provides comprehensive wastewater and
storm water management services to residents and businesses in both St. Louis

Responsibilities

• Repairs, overhauls, and maintains all gasoline and diesel powered engines, manual and automatic transmissions, and other mechanical equipment on cars, vans, pickup trucks, light trucks, up through and including class eight trucks, heavy construction equipment, specialized sewer cleaning equipment,compressors, etc.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor body work as assigned; tests and repairs electrical systems.
• Repairs and overhauls hydraulic systems.
• Changes and repairs tires as assigned.
• Operates tow truck, service truck and tire truck to bring in disabled vehicles to the garage or makes emergency repairs in the field.
• Repairs vehicles and equipment in the field in all types of weather conditions; interfaces with CMMS system.
• Creates and updates computer generated work orders; works standby for emergency vehicle and equipment repairs on off-shifts.
• Performs related work as required or as delegated by Supervisors.
