Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic Lead on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX. This position is full-time but temporary . Anticipated period of performance ending 3 October 2026 Position Responsibilities: Under general direction of the Assistant Supervisor, provide oversight of personnel. Assist Assistant Supervisor in the management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of assigned equipment using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). Issue work assignments and ensure completion is completed on time and to published standards. Organizes maintenance workflow efficiency, troubleshooting and repairs; assist mechanics with these tasks as necessary. Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security, and monitors for compliance. Ensure that safety and environmental policies and guidelines are followed without exception. Performs other duties assigned Must possess operational skill on the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A).. Must have at least two years of leadership experience, a general knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in The Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS). Must have knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 2407-1 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, and other applicable DA/DoD forms. Must have the ability to analyze and interpret Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repairs. Must be proficient in using EMS and IADS. Minimum Requirements: GCSS-Army experience Experience with Microsoft Excel and Proficient in using EMS-NG and the Army Enterprise Portal (AESIP). Experienced with the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) in order to task work orders using GCSS- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of military vehicles and/or construction equipment Ability to locate locally procured parts in a timely Knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 2407-1 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, DA Form 7723 Maintenance Expenditure Limit Waiver, DA Form 461-5 Vehicle Classification Inspection, and other applicable DA/DoD forms. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position Must be able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC). Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 Must have 5+ years' maintenance experience repairing military vehicles or heavy construction High school diploma or Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, sleet and snow. Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of Able to pick up and move items within 50 restriction with a frequent or constant lifting of 40 lbs. Must be able to climb on equipment in order to perform inspections of engines, transmissions and other vehicle components. Capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground Capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Able to work past normal hours as mission Prior military experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 63B, 63S, 63D or Defense contracting experience inspecting and ordering repair parts for military Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.
