About The Position

Earth Tech Enterprises is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Field/Road Mechanic to support our growing Heavy Civil and Site Development operations in Southwest Florida. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and fleet vehicles in the field to minimize downtime and keep our projects moving safely and efficiently. If you have hands-on experience working on heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, and construction fleet maintenance, we’d like to speak with you.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or field/road mechanic in heavy civil or construction environments
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment inspections
Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Welding and fabrication skills a plus
Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Perform field repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on construction equipment
Repair and maintain equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, haul trucks, graders, and rollers
Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, powertrains, and braking systems
Perform routine inspections, service intervals, and safety checks
Respond to breakdowns at job sites to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Communicate equipment needs and repair recommendations to operations and fleet leadership
Follow all safety procedures and company maintenance standards
