About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment, facilities, and systems are functioning safely and efficiently. This role coordinates with the maintenance staff, assists in planning and scheduling work, and helps implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve operational reliability.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Must display strong motivation and resourcefulness; be self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 5-7 years of experience of Maintenance management preferred.
  • Must have extensive knowledge/experience with the operation and maintenance of equipment in heavy industrial, manufacturing, and/or recycling environments.

  • A college degree in a related field (Business / Management / Logistics) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day maintenance activities across the company.
  • Oversee, manage, and direct all Maintenance staff by effectively delegating any maintenance issues to the right skilled individuals.
  • Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining an up-to-date Preventive Maintenance Plan for all company equipment and facilities.
  • With the direction of the Maintenance Manager, You will oversee repairs, inspection, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Complete repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Fulfill all facility maintenance requests in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly.
  • Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
  • Conduct monthly inventory.
  • Assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Utilize data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems.
  • Complete and submit Work Orders, ensuring all essential information is included.
  • Train new employees in maintenance and fabrication work processes
  • Recording and tracking daily progress/error reports.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed.
  • Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol.
  • Complete mandatory weekly/monthly or as-needed safety trainings
