Responsible to lead the hydraulic shop team in the execution of their daily tasks and responsibilities. Responsible for all daily shop inspections including forklift and general shop area. Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition. Know how to use basic hand and pneumatic tools. Troubleshoot and repair equipment which includes diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, both in the shop and on the phone with operators. Primarily delegate to the team but also individually perform preventative and corrective maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of hydraulic and specialized hydraulic equipment. Inspect work completed by other technicians. Train team members through effective succession planning. Work collaboratively with engineers, operators, and other technicians. Responsible for personal compliance with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the hydraulic and specialized hydraulic equipment operator’s job. Must work well and communicate effectively with operators and other mechanics. Servant Leadership mindset.
