Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Maintain current driver’s license with valid CDL varying by site.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
  • Demonstrated technical skill competence.
  • Must be able to obtain Hazardous Material Endorsement which requires fingerprint background check from State.
  • Must be able to comply with DOT CDL requirements.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required equipment lubrication and maintenance operations at client job sites.
  • Inspect equipment in a professional manner.
  • Sell lubrication services when called upon to do so.
  • Perform field lubrication and inspection duties with a focus on safety, accuracy, and economy.
  • Help plan and control lube and preventative maintenance jobs.
  • Assist lead to analyze client requirements and determine the scope of the job.
  • Alert other parties within Empire about potential parts, service, or sales opportunities.
  • Ensure trucks are topped with oil and emptied of waste oil at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain good client relations and support for corporate marketing objectives.
  • Write accurate and concise equipment condition reports.
  • Prepare service reports and process oil cards with proper quantities and types of oil used.
  • Perform lube services strictly by the CAT Lube and Maintenance Guides.
  • Follow proper warm up and sample drop procedures.
  • Maintain company equipment in good clean orderly condition and report repair or replacement needs to supervisor.
  • Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies.
  • Keep pertinent in-house personnel informed about date of service, discrepancies found, general machine condition and suggested action required.
  • Gather information from a walk around inspection and report to client/management.
  • Communicate orally and in writing information regarding equipment condition, problems and recommendations.
  • Maintain current MSHA card if work area requires.
  • Provide on-the-job training as assigned.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Travel to remote locations as needed.
  • Communicate with proper individuals to clarify instructions or discuss scope or progress of job.
