About The Position

Are you an experienced CDL A driver who knows the Northeast territory? Have you operated heavy equipment? Vermeer All Roads in Castleton on Hudson (Albany), NY is searching for a CDL A truck driver with a tanker endorsement. This role is responsible for transporting Vermeer equipment from Bangor, ME to Buffalo, NY and down to Maryland. Position will require an average of 1 overnight per week. This is a full time, benefits eligible position with a competitive hourly rate and over time. Must be at least 21 years old, insurable by our carrier (clean driving record) and at least 3 years recent delivery/driving experience. Reach out today for an interview.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CDL-A license and Tanker endorsement
Clean driving record (insurable under company policy)
At least 3 years of recent CDL-A driving/delivery experience
Heavy equipment hauling experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

Safely transport and deliver Vermeer equipment across the Northeast (Bangor, ME → Buffalo, NY → Maryland)
Perform DOT-compliant pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs
Secure equipment safely on trailers (chains/binders/straps)
Remain alert and follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations
Communicate effectively with employees, dispatch, and customers
Average of ~1 overnight per week
Perform additional duties as assigned
