For more information, please visit haydon.com. Summary The Lube Technician (Heavy Equipment) is responsible for fueling, servicing, and maintaining heavy equipment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working on heavy equipment is preferred including diagnostics, maintenance and repair of diesel and gas engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems on heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with tools and procedures necessary for diagnosis and repair of heavy construction equipment and trucks
  • Possess problem solving skills essential to the diagnostics and repair of heavy construction and support equipment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to process information quickly and accurately
  • Takes initiative and prioritizes tasks: organizational, problem-prevention and problem- solving skills
  • Dependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in repair/service heavy civil construction equipment required
  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Working knowledge and understanding of OSHA and DOT rules and regulations
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are required
  • Requires valid state-specific driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record that meets Haydon’s insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily service on various jobsites to include lubricating of heavy construction equipment, which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluids and greasing
  • Routine inspection, and maintenance of heavy equipment and support equipment including gas and diesel engines, transmissions and drives including hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) with HAZMAT and tanker endorsement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
