About The Position

Vermeer All Roads in Hopkinton, MA is hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician (Field/Shop Hybrid) to join our growing team. In this role, you'll split time between our shop and customer sites, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Vermeer machinery and components both in-house and on the road. This full-time position offers a mix of independent field work and collaborative shop support, with a focus on completing safe, professional, and on-time repairs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and hydrostatics
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Service Manager
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions (hydraulics, electrical, and hydrostatic systems)
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
• Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare cost estimates
• Maintain accurate repair records and documentation
• Stay current with industry and technical advancements
• Communicate with the factory for technical support
• Perform additional duties as assigned
