About The Position

At EquipmentShare, we are building a team to transform the construction industry through innovative technology, real-time support, and a dedicated team. We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in West, TX. This role involves providing maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company-owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts, working on the newest fleet in the industry, and contributing to the future of construction.

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• High School diploma
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
• Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Field Technicians may be required to be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
• Employment is contingent on passing a background check
• Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements
• Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred

Responsibilities

• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment when required
• Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Other duties, assigned as needed
