We work hard to inspire our diverse, well-rounded workforce and management team to always perform at the highest levels of safety and professionalism Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across heavy equipment and trucks. Perform engine and transmission rebuilds, hydraulic pump replacements, and undercarriage rebuilds. Execute electrical system troubleshooting with OEM diagnostic tools (e.g., Caterpillar ET, Komatsu, Deere Service Advisor, Volo Tech Tool). Lead and assist with major shop repairs, component swaps, and field breakdowns. Verify root-cause analysis on repeat failures and document findings. Support the Service Manager with prioritizing work orders, assigning jobs, and reviewing technician notes. Train and mentor Tech I and Tech II technicians - assign learning tasks and very progress. Lead technical discussions during safety meetings and OEM visits. Conduct post-repair test operation and sign off on high-value repairs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school diploma in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and diagnostics.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL - A preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • OEM-level software proficiency (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Deere, Volvo, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
