About The Position

Schroeder Truck Repair is looking for a highly skilled Mobile Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Technician who can confidently diagnose, repair, and solve problems in the field. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone versatile, efficient, and capable of thinking outside the box when facing real-world breakdown situations. If you can handle complex diagnostics on modern diesel platforms and still knock out brakes and wheel seals without hesitation — we want to talk to you. As a mobile technician, you will respond to roadside and on-site service calls performing: Advanced Diagnostics Check engine light diagnostics on: Cummins Detroit Volvo Paccar and other heavy-duty platforms Aftertreatment/DEF system diagnostics Electrical troubleshooting (shorts, opens, CAN issues) Sensor and control module diagnostics Mechanical Repairs Brakes (air systems, chambers, slack adjusters, ABS troubleshooting) Wheel seals and hub work Suspension and steering repairs Cooling systems Air system diagnostics and repairs General engine repairs and component replacement If you’re a skilled heavy-duty tech who can diagnose modern diesel systems and still handle hands-on mechanical repairs in the field, Schroeder Truck Repair wants you on our team.

Requirements

Strong diagnostic ability — not just parts replacement
Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment
Experienced with diagnostic software and scan tools
Able to troubleshoot electrical systems confidently
Versatile skill set across trucks and trailers
Problem solver who thinks beyond the obvious
Professional attitude with customers
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

Responsibilities

Respond to roadside and on-site service calls
