Beltway Companies is searching for a Full-Time Heavy Duty Parts Specialist to join our team! About Us: Beltway Companies is the largest commercial truck dealership in Maryland, committed to providing first-class service to our clients, employees, and communities. With our facilities totaling We specialize in sales, leasing, rentals, maintenance, and repairs for commercial trucks. We are seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused Heavy Duty Parts Specialist to join our team in the Baltimore area. Position Overview: This role is ideal for a driven parts professional who excels at customer-facing sales and thrives in a fast-paced service environment. The Heavy Duty Parts Specialist will support daily operations by identifying, sourcing, and selling heavy-duty truck parts, assisting walk-in and phone customers, and ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Beyond technical and sales expertise, we are looking for someone with leadership potential who can grow within our business. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, natural problem-solving ability, and a professional demeanor when working with customers, vendors, and internal departments. Over time, this role has the potential to evolve into a department leadership position, with the opportunity to oversee the Baltimore parts department and contribute to broader strategic goals, including process improvement, inventory optimization, and customer experience enhancements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of parts and inventory management preferred
  • 5-10+ years of retail sales experience preferred
  • Previous experience in truck parts, automotive parts, or a service shop environment a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procede or another Data Management System
  • Strong communication skills for working effectively with internal teams
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover
  • Works with the service manager and body shop manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
  • Analyzes departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness
  • Maintaining a high level of service to high priority target and fleet customers by going on site when needed to identify parts
  • Provides technical assistance to parts department employees
  • Develops sales promotions
  • Providing part to customer from stock, procuring locally or creating a parts order as directed
  • Inventory control maintenance as directed by Parts Manager, including bin check and correction
  • Assisting other Branches when short-staffed
  • Providing remote support to multiple branches
