What impact you’ll make As a leader in Heavy Duty New Unit (HDNU) Controls Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving both transformation and operational excellence across the global Controls Engineering organization. You will define and execute a strategic roadmap for modernizing combined cycle controls development and project execution, aligning technology upgrades with business goals and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant platforms. In parallel, you will lead the development and implementation of lean operational structures, mechanisms, and performance metrics to optimize team output, control costs, and enhance reliability. Your role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and operations—as well as Controlled Title Holders and Lean Coaches to ensure alignment between technical execution and business outcomes. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement by applying Lean principles and servant leadership practices, empowering engineering teams to identify and act on process improvement opportunities. Through coordination of Kaizen events, standardization efforts, and performance reviews, you will foster a unified and efficient Controls Engineering organization. Your efforts will support broader Controls and Gas Power Engineering initiatives, including collaboration with HDNU ITR, Release Train Engineers, and strategic operations leaders. By mentoring functional teams and embedding daily management practices, you will help cultivate a resilient, data-driven, and forward-thinking engineering culture.
