Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating heavy-duty floor cleaning and maintenance equipment.
- Basic knowledge of floor care chemicals and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in floor care or maintenance from a recognized institution.
- Experience working in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.
- Familiarity with different types of flooring materials such as concrete, tile, vinyl, and hardwood.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy-duty floor cleaning machines such as scrubbers, buffers, and polishers to clean and restore floor surfaces.
- Perform routine inspections of flooring to identify areas requiring repair, deep cleaning, or refinishing.
- Apply appropriate cleaning agents, sealants, and finishes to protect and enhance floor surfaces according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Coordinate with facility management to schedule floor maintenance activities minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and supplies inventory.
- Respond promptly to urgent floor cleaning or repair requests to maintain a safe environment.
