About The Position

VTRL is looking for a Diesel Technician to join our team in Nashville, TN for following hours: Monday-Friday 11:30AM - 8:00PM! What You’ll Do: As a Diesel Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch service to our customers. You will be responsible for conducting various repairs, both major and minor, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your focus on mechanical and electrical expertise will contribute significantly to our team's success.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferably possess post-secondary vocational education.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Class B Driver’s License within a specified timeframe.
  • Ability to understand and comply with Company Policies comprehensively.
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy truck repairs or a related field.
  • Ability to pursue a Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Basic training provided by third parties or the company.
  • Fundamental knowledge of heavy-duty electrical systems.
  • Capability to assist in diagnosing failures and executing repairs effectively.
  • Familiarity with component rebuilds and replacements, such as engines and transmissions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing support and guidance throughout the repair process.
  • Execute repairs under supervision, demonstrating proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Adhere closely to written and oral instructions, maintaining accurate documentation and inventory control.
  • Prioritize safety at all times, contributing to a secure working environment.
  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative, capable of working independently when required.
  • Willingness to participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participates in specific training programs as prescribed by VTRL
