SCHEDULE: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3pm-1am (approx. 40-60 hours per week) plus 10% Pay Differential Applies to 2nd and 3rd Shifts Only. Requirements

  • Great work ethic

  • An expertise in working on Diesel Engines (Cummins, MAC, etc)
  • CDL (preferred)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently

Responsibilities

  • Performs repair on diesel truck engines.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
  • Inspect the overall condition of Truck to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
  • Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
