About The Position

The Heavy Duty Cleaner will perform a wide variety of tasks throughout the main building as required. This role is responsible for keeping buildings in a clean and orderly condition, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, cleaning and stocking restrooms, washing walls, glass, and upholstered furniture, and removing rubbish. The cleaner will also notify management of the need for repairs.

• Ability to perform heavy cleaning duties
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleanup of facility
• Sweeps, mops, polishes, refinishes resilient floors – must have experience with floor care equipment
• Vacuums and shampoos carpeted areas
• Dumps garbage and recycle bins
• Performs all cleaning aspects of halls, offices, board rooms, restrooms, pantries, cafeterias as well as washes walls, upholstered furniture and window coverings as directed
• Cleans and stocks restroom facilities
• Cleaning of offices and cubicles
• Empty garbage receptacles and reline
• Empty paper shredders
• Clean kitchen cupboards inside and out
• Spot clean interior glass
• To maintain all equipment to be of a clean/working condition
• To report all faults to the supervisor
• To participate in all training relevant and as required
• Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations as outlined by the Company
• Additional duties as required from time to time
