About The Position

Catawba Two Kings Casino is seeking a Heavy-Duty Clean Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing deep cleaning and heavy-duty tasks throughout the casino. This includes maintaining cleanliness in public and back-of-house areas, operating specialized cleaning equipment and handling large-scale cleanup duties in compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Five (5) years of custodial, janitorial, or heavy-duty cleaning experience, required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper use of equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed, to include nights weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to secondhand cigarette smoke).
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May require working in confined spaces, at heights, or in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep cleaning and heavy-duty janitorial work such as stripping, waxing, buffing floors, carpet shampooing, pressure washing, and restroom sanitation.
  • Clean and maintain high-traffic public areas, restrooms, stairwells, and staff-only zones.
  • Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, pressure washers).
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies according to safety protocols.
  • Remove trash, debris, and hazardous waste from designated areas.
  • Respond to cleaning emergencies including spills, biohazard cleanup, or unscheduled messes.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and facilities teams for special projects and seasonal deep cleans.
  • Follow established protocols for infection control, safety and sanitation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
