About The Position

We're hiring for a Heavy Diesel Technician in Phoenix, AZ! Transdev Fleet Services is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician in the Phoenix, AZ area to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. This position will require 80% travel. As a Diesel Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a technician.
  • CDL preferred
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
  • DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • 80% travel required.
  • Other duties as required.
