TYPICAL DUTIES: Implement and maintain erosion and sediment control measures on construction sites that are prone to erosion. Clean and prepare sites, jackhammer, possibly dig trenches, support the of excavations, clean up rubble, debris, and waste materials. Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials Load, unload, machinery, or tools, and materials, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Assist other craft workers Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Help flagging truck movements at sites
Requirements
- Applicant must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- The position location is in Norfolk, Virginia
- Three years of heavy construction laborer experience required
- Must demonstrate attention to detail
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices
