About The Position

Job Overview: Supervise construction crews made up of Laborers, Operators and/or Carpenters in civil structural construction projects as assigned. Work with regulating agencies, job superintendents, foreman, subcontractors and others internally and externally. Responsibilities: Oversees the Forman that supervise a crew of employees and prioritizes work. Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines. Conducts regular safety talks/meetings. Fulfills all regular and advanced construction duties, including project layout, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner. Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe. Enforces all company safety policies and procedures. Enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation. Submits crewmembers' timesheets into payroll by deadline. Works with Union halls to conform to the company EEO standards. Attends operation meetings as required. S upports Project Manager in all efforts during construction through completion of project. Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced team oriented professional work environment and field operations.
Must be flexible and have the ability to prioritize a diverse workload.
Detail oriented.
Working knowledge of construction.

Nice To Haves

College degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent a plus.
