About The Position

The Dixon Group is looking for is looking for a Heavy Assembler to join our Dixon Specialty Products division in Chestertown, MD! of skilled professionals who build and test industrial equipment that powers industries worldwide. At this location, you will be insulating, armoring, and testing small to large bore hoses. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing of heavy equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in a related field
  • Welding experience is a strong plus - Entry level Mig & Tig welding
  • Exposure to sandblasting, grinding wheels, paint booths

Responsibilities

  • Insulate, armor and test small and large bore hoses
  • Assemble heavy machinery components according to specifications and blueprints
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks
  • Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure functionality and safety
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly challenges
  • Document assembly processes and report discrepancies or concerns to supervisors
  • Prepare and package parts for shipment according to company standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
