As part of a diverse and hardworking team (Additive Manufacturing), you will set up and operate world-class vacuum thermal processing equipment to produce high-value aerospace components for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the thermal processing of aerospace alloys. You will also be involved in process and design with engineers to characterize, improve, and document manufacturing processes and the resulting hardware quality.

Requirements

  • 5 years of aerospace thermal processing experience
  • Experience in thermally processing aerospace materials such as copper, nickel, and titanium alloys
  • Familiar with performing furnace preventative maintenance
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of aerospace vacuum thermal processing experience
  • Experience with post process testing such as hardness, alpha case, and mechanical testing
  • Experience working with Materials Engineers to design, test, and document heat treatment and braze processes
  • Crane operator/ lift coordinator experience

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Safely operating and 'owning' vacuum furnaces including maintenance
  • Continually looking for improvement opportunities in all that you do
