Heat Treat Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Heat Treat Operator 2nd Shift (Mon - Fri 3:00 pm to 11:20 pm) Starting Pay Rate - $22.50 to $25/hr - DOQ, plus shift differential Job Description Adjusts controls, observes gauges, tracks and records temperature and time data while tending heat-treating furnaces and quench pits, to temper, harden, or heat-treat metal objects. Cleans and maintains heat-treat ovens in proper operating condition Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications. Responsible for quality of work and to appropriately resolve unusual operating conditions. Routinely operates a forklift. May assemble, pack and/or package a wide variety of products or materials. Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications. Modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs. All other duties as assigned. May require successful completion of specific education, training or certifications.
Requirements
- Reading and understanding English language work instructions
- Effective computer use
- Basic Math skills
- six months of fork truck experience
- independent decision-making
- effective self-management
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year forklift experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong Computer and math skills
