Noise levels on production floor require hearing protection, temperature fluctuates dependent on season. Working around powered industrial vehicles. Production floor can become slippery with oil. As a Heat Treat Operator you'll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You'll get to:

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Mathematical ability and practical application of percentages and ratios
• Ability to read and write, effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to understand written, verbal or diagrammatical form of instructions
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach.
• Ability to lift and/or carry 5-25 pounds regularly and occasionally 25-65 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down heat treat equipment (includes initial setting and adjusting of all controls and gauges)
• Move work to charge end of furnaces
• Load and unload work from furnaces
• Check and adjust all controls and gauges
• Inspection of completed parts (Rockwell), which includes keeping of records
• Clean and maintain necessary gauges
• Work in other departments on as needed basis, as directed by supervisor
• Operates PIV as needed to move part bins, load machines
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Must be able to work overtime
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
