About The Position

Independently sets up and operates all equipment in the Induction Heat Treat Department, while maintaining Quality Standards to meet customer requirements. THIS IS A 2nd SHIFT POSITION.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating Induction Heat Treat equipment a plus.
• Knowledge in ISO/TS requirements.
• Ability to enter in all required information into the computer system.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be Forklift certified.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
• HSD, GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to operate Induction Heat Treat units as assigned.
• Keeps down time to a minimum, set-up machines quickly and efficiently, make repairs as needed.
• Facilities the flow of product through the department, helps determine follow-ups and cut-ins while maintaining production levels.
• Be able to read induction prints.
• Set up parts according to prints.
• Complete hardness tests and record readings.
• Knows how to perform scale transactions
• Complete all required Quality Control tests and record on the proper log sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform all inspections and complete all required quality paperwork.
