About The Position

The position involves measuring, marking, and scribing temperatures and reference points on materials or work pieces. The individual will select, align, and secure fixtures and stamp position numbers. Responsibilities include calculating and setting controls to regulate temperatures and pressures, entering commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control programs, and manufacturing parts and components within specified tolerances while minimizing scrap and adhering to the production schedule. The role requires starting and observing machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, adjusting machine controls as necessary, and performing in-process inspections to ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards. Additionally, the individual must comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures, perform helper duties such as stenciling, cleaning, and assisting operators to ensure smooth production runs, maintain all equipment, and train new employees while cross-training in other areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and work safely in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, mark, and scribe temps and reference points on materials or work pieces.

  • Calculate and set controls to regulate temps and pressures: speed, gas pressure, and part clearance.
  • Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control programs.
  • Manufacture parts and components within specified tolerances with limited scrap.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Adjust machine controls as required.
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform helper duties such as stenciling, cleaning, and assisting operators.
  • Perform maintenance on all equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Train new employees and cross-train in other areas.
