About The Position

Manage Safety, Quality and Production Support company, plant, and department objectives Ensure compliance to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures Coordinate and oversee the activities of all employees Set department standards using knowledge of equipment and processes Evaluate team member performance and generate progression plans Oversee training of all department employees Complete Performance Reviews, Corrective Actions, and associated documents Track ADP timekeeping and attendance Effectively communicate with team members of all levels and status Monitor Inspection responsibilities, including: Cut and measure parts and record on proper documents. Read and understand process sheets. Report any discrepancies found to Quality and Production Supervisors. Do a Stop - Call - Wait when parts are found to be out of spec. Assist with training new inspectors. Notify production when micros, forge lots and quality checks are finished. Input information into computer. Maintain good 5’s of area. Mix nitric acid, 2% and 10% per Work Instruction Triple rinse and dispose of nitric acid bottles. Triple rinse and dispose of denatured alcohol cans. Work in East or West when need be. Ensure all scopes are in calibration, notify quality if not. Complete written pass down to on coming shift. Call in work orders when any equipment is not working.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit or operate various equipment as required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to utilize all inspection tools and gauges.
  • Ability to properly complete all required documentation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to focus on small details.
  • Heat Treat experience preferred.
  • Must be able to learn to identify macro/micro discrepancies.
  • Help maintain 5S of inspection area.
  • Limited lifting, sitting and standing.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for inspection tasks.
  • Dexterity for handling small parts or tools.
  • Vision clarity to detect defects or inconsistencies.
  • Attention to detail to identify minor defects.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess quality standards.
  • Problem-solving ability to address quality issues.
  • Good communication to report findings and collaborate with teams.
