Requirements

• 4+ years of HVAC installation experience (heat pumps preferred)
• Hands-on skills : low- and high-voltage wiring, brazing, proper refrigerant charge, ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
• Ability to manage a project from start to finish
• Leadership experience : mentoring crews, job site management
• EPA Universal
• OSHA-10
• Strong desire to transition into energy-efficient building practices and electrification

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced heat pump installations, including ducted, ductless, and multizone systems
• Review project documentation: startup sheets, load calcs, and duct design specs
• Identify and delegate tasks to assistants
• Communicate installation progress with the project manager and the office teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues with minimal delay
• Lead final system commissioning, air balancing, and diagnostic troubleshooting
• Serve as the customer-facing lead technician on all assigned projects
