Reporting to the Director of Operations , the Hearing Instrument Specialist is responsible for conducting diagnostic testing and providing support to the on-site Audiologist in managing hearing instruments. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient communication skills, and comfort working with individuals across various age groups—children (5+), adolescents, adults, and older adults. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in conducting hearing tests, assessments, and consultations with accuracy
  • Commitment to patient care and improving quality of life for individuals with hearing conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in hearing care or a related healthcare field is a plus
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the auditory system and auditory rehabilitation.
  • Flexible and adaptable to operational changes and patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic hearing assessments and assist the Audiologist with hearing instrument fittings and follow-up care.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients regarding hearing instruments, maintenance, and usage.
  • Maintain professional and supportive interactions with patients, families, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Apply working knowledge of the auditory system and auditory rehabilitation techniques.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical standards and organizational protocols.
