About The Position
To help Mainers stay safe and warm, the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) provides money to help eligible homeowners and renters in Cumberland County pay for a portion of their annual heating expenses. The Opportunity Alliance is hiring a Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) Specialist which is a client services position for the energy programs administered by Housing and Energy Services. This position contributes to The Opportunity Alliance’s mission through the provision of direct service to Housing and Energy Services and our clientele. HEAP staff provides intake and eligibility assistance to residents of Cumberland County seeking to enroll in home heating and energy programs. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hour/week, hourly position. M-F, regular business hours. Location: Portland, ME. This position will be fully onsite.
