About The Position

Johns Hopkins University is conducting a research study focused on e-cigarettes, and we are seeking healthy adult volunteers aged 21 and older who currently use e-cigarettes. This study aims to gather data on the effects and implications of e-cigarette use through a structured research protocol. Participants will be required to attend three visits to our lab located at the Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. The first visit will involve an in-person screening session lasting approximately 2-3 hours to assess eligibility for the study. Once eligibility is confirmed, participants will engage in a one-week stay at our residential research unit, where they will be monitored and assessed in a controlled environment. Following this, there will be a one-week follow-up visit to evaluate the outcomes of the study. Participants who successfully complete the study will be compensated up to $1,900 for their involvement. This research is crucial for understanding the health impacts of e-cigarette usage and contributes to the broader field of public health research.
