This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Healthy Living Director develops, organizes and implements high quality YMCA Healthy Living, Personal Training, Small Group Training, and Group Fitness programs to enhance the member and program participant YMCA experience. You will promote long-term involvement through a variety of exceptional programs and services that result in nurturing the potential in children (youth development), supporting members in their wellness journey (healthy living), and driving advocacy and community awareness (social responsibility). The Healthy Living Director provides center level leadership in helping create transformational change in the health and wellbeing of our community member’s lives. CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION: I will support the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region’s commitment to child abuse prevention by: Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children Completing all child abuse prevention training as required Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor The YMCA has zero tolerance for abuse. We will report all suspected and/or allegations of abuse to the state and federal law.
