Pulmonary/Rad On Job Summary: This role will provide crucial support for VUMC’s healthcare software across multiple clinical areas, including work on day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, upgrades and on-call rotations under occasional guidance. The ideal candidate will be able to perform multiple functions of application management and support, including workflow assessment, application installation, configuration, and testing, architectural documentation, interfacing and other integration, application support and troubleshooting, and upgrade planning and execution. For this position, we are seeking a dynamic, motivated professional who can learn quickly, communicate effectively, and work independently to drive work efforts to completion for VUMC Hospitals and Clinics, including on-site work as required.

Requirements

  • Experience with clinical applications in a healthcare setting is required. Experience working in neurology, radiation oncology, pulmonary medicine, radiology and/or cardiology settings is highly desirable.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and document work initiatives (i.e. Time estimates, deliverables, etc.) is required.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience with one or more of VUMC’s major ancillary clinical applications: Cadwell EEG, Compas2, Persyst, Varian Aria, Polysmith, Spacelabs, RO Dynamics, PowerScribe, Sectra, ISCV, IECG, and/or ASOB
  • Experience with work or project management software, such as Jira or Planview is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, builds, installs, configures, and/or develops software to support clinical, administrative, financial and operational workflows.
  • Performs on-site troubleshooting, assessment and configuration of software and supporting technology such as workstations and peripheral devices.
  • Analyzes clinical, administrative, financial or operational workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment in which they operate.
  • May perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
  • Supports clinical, administrative, financial, revenue, or operational implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with customers and vendors, and training users. Participates in on-call rotation to provide support if needed after hours.
