The Cypress of Charlotte is looking for a warm, service‑minded Healthcare Server to join our team! In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming dining experience for our health center residents by preparing and serving meals that match their individualized dietary needs.
Requirements
- A minimum of six months’ experience in nursing home food service preferred.
- Fundamental working knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation and personal hygiene.
- Ability to understand, follow and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Responsibilities
- Prepare simple desserts and salads with care.
- Serve meals in the health center with a friendly, attentive approach.
- Set up dining room tables before mealtimes and clear/refresh them afterward.
- Delivers hot and cold foods and non-food items to residents at the health center to support a smooth meal service.
