About The Position

Job Summary: The Healthcare Revenue Cycle Senior Manager provides clients with senior-level healthcare consulting services by assessing the client’s business needs, recommending and implementing solutions, and managing BDO and client staff in this process. This position reflects significant industry experience in a hospital or practice setting commensurate with a senior leadership role. This position will work a sporadic and fluctuating schedule. Job Duties: Develops central patient access and revenue cycle functions on a project basis similar to Single business office for professional and hospital services Central patient access unit for registration and scheduling Standardized policies and procedures Assesses revenue cycles Thoroughly reviews front and backend operations Analyzes and redesigns workflow Conducts performance metrics and benchmarking Analyzes report functions and results thereof Reviews revenue cycle systems, including third party solutions Reviews charge capture (manual and EHR) and reconciliation processes Identifies and prioritizes opportunities for improvement Examines and provides recommendations for staffing size, structure & benchmarking Acts as Charge Data Master, overseeing projects to include: Physician Education Coding and compliance audits EHR form/template assessment Code scrubber technologies CDM Assessment and Maintenance Manages interim revenue cycle for clients, as needed in similar capacity to Executive leadership Supervisors Third-party contracting and settlement negotiations Vendor selection for outsourced billing management Supervises the day-to-day workload on assigned engagements and reviews work product Up-sells after initial engagement, as relevant Travels 50% or more of the time to client sites Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides leadership and takes ownership of large projects from start to finish to ensure client satisfaction and to meet the project goals and objectives Communicates with BDO senior leadership and client management to meet budget and target dates Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education: Bachelor’s degree, required Experience: Fifteen (15) or more years of healthcare finance, revenue cycle operations, clinical operations, or vendor/consultant-based experience, required Five (5) or more years’ experience with healthcare EHR vendor systems for large group practices, and or hospitals, required Licensure/Certification(s): Epic Certification, preferred Software: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint, required Proficiency in the use of Epic, Cerner, or athenaIDX, preferred Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Executive presence, with the ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills Strong analytical and advanced research skills related to industry trends, market competition and technology Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm and with clients Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel Ability to encourage a team environment on engagements, and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel Ability to travel 50% or more, required Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. New Jersey Range: $100.00/hr - $160.00/hr

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, required
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of healthcare finance, revenue cycle operations, clinical operations, or vendor/consultant-based experience, required
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience with healthcare EHR vendor systems for large group practices, and or hospitals, required
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint, required
  • Executive presence, with the ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and advanced research skills related to industry trends, market competition and technology
  • Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm and with clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
